I've been on finasteride for about 5 weeks and minoxidil for 2 and a half. I'm starting to notice a lot more hair falling out now in the past 2 days. I think I lost over 100 today. I don't know whether to be worried, or happy. Shedding is a sign that it's working, right? No noticable drop in density yet, but I fear it's coming. I have really long hair so I'm worried it will look really crappy pretty soon, but I'm hoping I can use nanogen to get me through the shedding...
The hairloss specialist I spoke too said that growth should outpace shedding, so while my hair should get thinner at length due to shedding, at the scalp level, it should be better, with more coverage, and less noticable thin spots...
Well, wish me luck guys! I hope this is a good sign! I'm a diffuse thinner, I hear that minoxidil and finasteride work best on diffuse thinners, so fingers and everything else crossed!
