He still looks alright as he has enough hair to frame his face still (the SMP look) - i wonder what he'll look like a year or two from now when all that is gone. he could have saved his hair if he had hopped on finasteride... but it seems he is the type who doesn't mind so much about hair. i wonder when he has a slick NW7 with no face framed, will his girlfriend think the same?

another thing i don't get, apparently taking medications for hair loss is "effort" and it is far easier to shave it off and be done with it. but how is taking a quarter of 1 pill a day much more effort than having to shave your entire head every day ?

He doesn't look half-bad. Bald brothers who lose their hair / or decide to shave it in his case, earlier in their balding careers seem to take it on the chin better.

I guess the younger they are when they first shave or go bald, the better they look to begin with in many ways. Low body fat, fresh looking face etc, no wrinkles. So it makes the transition into later years not such a hard, double blow if you have been bald since your early twenties.

Pros and cons I guess.

Something I don't get with Gingium (OP's video) is that he said it really took off 6 months ago - which may be true, aggressive balding does that sometimes, especially to guys as young as him. But I went back to watch some of his older videos where he mentioned having luscious hair and I'm not sure if he just didn't notice it or if he's just deceiving himself but he had already lost a substantial amount of hair - years ago.

I'm almost 31 now with a full head of hair (long-ish hair) and no one would consider me balding. From 24 til now, I've been moving from a juvenile hairline down to a Norwood 1 and a 1.5/2 on the other side and I've been monitoring it quite closely. I am stressed about it, I'm sorry, I know others have it way worse and don't wanna hear it. Anyway, I'm mentioning this because it really shows that hairloss and its impact always depend on the person. He seems to be set early in his life. Nice, good-looking girlfriend, he got a job he loves and he didn't seem to be insecure or mind it too closely, so for him it started "six months ago" aka heavily thinning when in reality it started many years ago for him.

this is a PERFECT EXAMPLE of a dude with pretty heavy diffused thinning, shaving and THEN LOOKING LIKE A f*****g FULL HEAD... TO ALL YOU FUCKERS that implied I have a lot of hair AFTER shaving. shaved look is ALWAYS the best option for diffused thinners.

People are too easily decived by an image.

Perhaps you're right.

At least you are happier now - that's the important thing.

I would say this guy has thick eggs! He's 20 years old and he's taking it easy to get a bald head.

A framed face is so much better than being slick bald. Ppl on YT and other social media should stop blue pilling balding kids and ruining their lives a few years down the road.

And shame on people who are behind all the internet hysteria of finasteride being a castration pill.

makes me wonder if just a thousand grafts to frame the face and and 3k grafts evenly distributed throughout the rest of the head would look good. probably. It's basically exactly how much hair I have left and with the sides at a zero and the top at a .5 it gives the illusion of density.

Don’t think so. Transplanted hair, when cut short will look pluggy and anyone who knows what an hair transplant is will spot it right away. And even to others, it will appear unnatural. Why don’t you post some pics of your head? If there is some hair left, maybe SMP and shave?

Shaving/buzzing is def. best for the diffuse thinners, simply because the pattern / outline is still there. It still looks voluntary, rather than forced...if you on the other hand have aggressive horse-shoe type hair-loss, it can look bad with buzzed. Just look at the second guy here, you can clearly see the horseshoe pattern (could also be because he's dyed his hair)
