I’ve been getting a lot of comments about my hair during Teams meetings lately. “New hairdo?” “You hair is a bit longer, it looks nice” “Did you dye your hair a new colour”? So my hair must look good at least on video calls.

I was having my weekly catch-up call with a co-worker, and she commented that she liked my longer hairdo, and jokingly said something along the lines of “you have more hair than me now”. And then I was just very open and said, well actually I have shitty hair, I have a hair disease, it’s genetic, and I am on treatments at the moment, and my hair has improved somewhat.
And I told her I am taking prostate medication and am doing laser therapy and that I stab my head with needles. I went and got my laser cap to show her, and I wore it for the rest of the call. And she said, whatever you are doing, it is working.

I am trying to be more open about hair loss, it feels better than always having an elephant in the room.

that is the best way to deal with it...
i only ever heard compliments when people mention they had transplants, good results on medication and so on...
everybody says “well done”, is usually surprised that it works, or even exist and then most forget about it again...
what people dont forget: the hat^^
