...if it caused the loss of all head hair.

Why the f*** does the horseshoe exist?
I like the look of a bald head. But i hate the look of the horseshoe.
Even if you shave it, there's a shadow.

Why in the f*** are some hairs resistant to DHT and some others not?
male pattern baldness is a disease that makes no f*****g sense.

If i ever go slick bald, the horseshoe has to go.
I'd rather have nothing than to have that sh*t.

For me, it's Norwood 1 or no hair. Every other inbetween looks retarded.

I would prefer the horseshoe as it leaves the option to have a hair transplant or, worst case scenario - a hair piece. Also, if you're 100% bald you end up looking sickly like a cancer patient.

But you are right that male pattern baldness/FPB makes no sense. I also wonder why the hairs in the horseshoe area is resistant to DHT (unless you have DUPA).

man, my back, chest and *** hair is doing very well!! Actually, finasteride even increased it's thickness a bit!! I can wax it, and it will repeatedly, and immediately grow back!! While, I cannot seem to regrow a single hair on my f*cking head!! yayyy!!

For whatever reason male pattern baldness genetically came about- need for vitamin D, need for improved line of sight (cavemen didn't have haircuts, so losing the top bit of your hair makes sense as being beneficial from a survival standpoint), or as a side effect of skull growth- all 3 "make sense" to remove hair from the top of the head, it just looks sh*t aesthetically.

This is really an interesting question that totally needs an answer: what is the actual reason why the hair on the sides and the back are DHT-resistant but the hair in the front and on top is not? This really needs to be examined thoroughly.

In my opinion, the "DHT resistance" theory is just an excuse scientists use to justify their ignorance.
It's like those doctors that claim that male pattern baldness is incurable because they have no idea how to tackle it. Nevermind the fact that slick bald for years people obtain their hair back if they transition to female.

I have no idea why time froze for hair loss research. We don't know anything.

I agree with aspects of this. Although DHT plays a part in hair loss, I believe it is pretty simplistic to say that it is the sole culprit. Such conjecture is based on lack of intimate knowledge. After all, plenty of people still lose hair even when they take finasteride. I believe there is an immune system issue involved as well (I think Admin once echoed a similar sentiment) and that is why I really wish some one would try a topical version of tofacitinib on people with Androgenetic Alopecia. According to Dr. Christiano, it could very well be much more potent than an oral version with virtually no risk of side effects. But no, instead we'll have some stupid hair transplant doctors dicking around with an hair transplant robot or chest hair transplants. Lots of this lack of knowledge about Androgenetic Alopecia can be attributed to lack of research being done on new and innovative treatments. It can also be attributed to many of these potential hair loss treatments being tried only on mice and never on humans, or to a lesser degree, being tried on people with AA or AU and not on people with Androgenetic Alopecia.

If you are considering Baldness from Evolution perspective,i think you must know about one genetic principle.
According to Hardy Weinberg law, genotype frequencies remains constant in every generation in the absence of any mutations.
