If Finasteride Has A Half Life Of 7 Hours, How Does It Work In Blocking Dht?

If finasteride blocks around 70% of DHT and has a half life of 7 hours. It will then reduce to 35%. So how is it an affect drug at stopping hair loss if you take it once every 24 hours? I dont get it
