So Minoxidil don't block to much dht like finasteride.

I started Minoxidil 1 month half 1x day and now I have many hairs growing I'm already watching my NW1, I'm responding like a beast

But the question is why for some people minoxidil ALONE works for years and for others works just 1 year for example

I think it works a long time if your male pattern baldness is progressing slowly.

Even if it is just a band aid at least you are buying yourself some time before better treatments come out. That's the way I look at it. With better treatments, it should be easier to recover from a NW3v as oppose to a NW6.

I agree. It also matters how long the follicles have been dormant, and whether you are responsive to minoxidil. I have seen some people with extremely fast, aggressive balding who have regrown an insane amount of hair on minoxidil. In this case it usually doesn't last long, but if your hair loss isn't too aggressive you can keep it for years. If you aren't a responder to minoxidil though, you are wasting your money on the stuff. The difficult question is whether or not you are a responder to minoxidil in some extent.
