What would you do with it?! It's fun to imagine....

I LOVE Rod Stewarts hair. The guy is well into his 60's and still has possibly the best hair in the business. In fact I didn't realize I was losing my hair until I figured out I couldn't style mine like Rod's because it simply wasn't lush enough.

What would you with your hair?

I always thought it was curious that none of the Beatles went bald. I know Lennon died youngish, at 40, but he showed no signs of male pattern baldness even at that age. McCartney & Harrison had stupendous hair. Ringo, well, he's Ringo, man.

But you'd think, given the odds, that at least one of them would have lost it.

i have a suspicion the record companies wouldn't have given the beatles a deal if any of them showed any signs of balding.

very few famous musicians have receeding hairlines. phil colins, sting... uh..??

john lennon was complaining about thinning on top in the late 70's,harrison,well his hair was great til the end, maccas hair is not all his own, maybe a minor hair transplant but im not sure, and ringo has mild temple recession........but yup in one way or another they all give/gave the impression of a good head of hair. :hairy:

I agree Macca's hair looks strange of late - I thought the fact he was putting dye in it had thickened it up a little. But he may have had a minor hair transplant at the command of that insane despot he married AKA Lady Mukka. Anyway he had fine hair till late middle-age and don't forget, his father was bald from a very early age.

I was looking at the cover of Double Fantasy, Lennon's 1980 album. His hair looks fine to me but it could be touched up I suppose.

I wonder if Harrison's Eastern musings had anything to do with his fabulous head of hair.

Ringo, you bastard, gimme some truth.

Lennon always had by far the weakest hair but it never progressed to what you would term balding.
The same could be said for the Rolling Stones. Mick Jaggers father passed away this week and he was a NW7 from an early age? I think that most of them have had a little 'help' to preserve their full heads of hair.
I suspect Rod quite possibly has too.

What kind of help - do you mean small hair pieces just to improve density or cover thinning?

One thing I noticed about the older generation of Hollywood actors - Gregory Peck, Robert Mitchum, William Holden, Henry Fonda, Richard Burton - if you look at the films they made in the 1970's their hair all had a similar look and constituency that went beyond styling, like they were all sharing the same hairpiece.

I would'nt be at all suprised if Rod was wearing a 'system'.
I'm not saying he's bald by any means but for a man in his 60's that hair is one in a million.

I saw a documentary once where the beatles were joking about wigs, or someone asked them about the ones they were wearing and one of them said 'yeah underneath it we're bald', something like that, but it was probably just a joke, but still, it stuck in my mind.

I would'nt feel like I had a highly obvious physical flaw. My self confidence would improve dramaticly and so would my overall enthusiasm for life.

of course its a rug of some description that rod is wearing.

image is all in showbiz

looks good though doesnt it?

still...doesnt help our case any does it?...bald is not seen as cool by celebs and the media.

take away the cosmetics and you'll find rod is as bald as a coot.... a man of 62 does not have hair like that....shame is that rod would still be cool no matter what.

For those who are singles: if we're alone maybe it's our flaw of not think in the future when we were young.

Nature is not guilty in Mr. IBM believe of things taught by his family. Now he finds that his collegues are thirteen years in advance in matter of life.

I would like to grow it long, but not hippie-length long.

I'd grow to a certain length but just above my neck. I could do it now if I want to, but the thinning and hairline would make it look bad.

I think life would be better, but there would still be problems.

Oh yeah, anyone who thinks that having hair will solve all their problems is niaeve. But for me having it would be like a huge weight off my shoulders.

If I had a full head of hair I'd shave it all off as if to say, "Yeah I shave my head even though I ain't balding.... that's just cuz I'm so damn confident in my other attributes" :)

I would grow it out long and wear it like a grunge kid. The way I had it about 2 years ago.

same here. I am a 21 year on guy in great shape with decent looks but i feel as if the fact that im losing my hair just fucks all of the other good things about me. LIke one obvious flaw outweighs a BUNCH of good things, but im just a little paranoid now. THought my hair was looking good and thick and hair loss not even noticable, but then i got cocky and i decided to not use volumizing shampoo and try and style it wet with gel. lol bad i dea......I look f*****g horrible
