i have a simple question:

suposse a man that likes to drinking beer with his dinner and this makes him get fatter 1 kg each year, so in ten years he will weight 10 kg more.

now suposse the same guy, the five first years he decides to drink water with his dinners and the next five he come back to drinks beer so after 10 years he is supossed to weight only 5 kg more.

Now apply the same principe to finasteride

If you take finasteride for only five years, five years after the end of the treatment is your hair better than if you never took it before or is the same?

what says doctors about that? ty in advance

Instead of gain use the word lost. Finasteride stops you from losing hair. So instead of losing 1000 hairs each year, in 10 years 10000, with finasteride, you lose 100 hairs/year so in 10 years are 1000 hairs
