I'm 23, is there hope for my hair loss?

Hi,
I'm 23 and have had hair loss since age 18. The most likely cause of this has been determined as genetic as my father and grandfather had the same male pattern baldness.
I've tried oral finasteride (and minoxidil) which led to side effects within a month hence me discontinuing. I continued with the minoxidil for a year and a half and it was going well but it felt like a losing battle near the end.
Any suggestions, advice or general comments please

get back on finasteride unless you want to be a norwood 7 with a little island of hair in your forehead
you might have to need to get a hair transplant if you don't get any regrowth from it

Honestly, I agree. Finasteride is your only hope here. You look like a diffused thinner and those with dpa or dupa require a very good surgeon to fix assuming you have quality donor hair.

If you have side effects that you can't tolerate then I don't really know what to tell you. I will say the side effects can go away with continued use but I'm not a doctor so I think you should ask your primary care physician about it.
