I'm Back! Doesn't anyone take 5mg Fina anymore?

Hey everyone,

I used to post here years ago and I had some moderate success but for one reason or another fell off the wagon and stopped my regimen, except for Nizoral.

So now I am back and I am using Rogaine foam twice a day, 5mg Finasteride Rx'd by my doctor, and Progaine shampoo 5 times a week and Nizoral 2 times a week.

I noticed it seems everyone is using only 1mg Finasteride now, what happened?

I think you'll find most people use about 1-1.25 mg of finasteride. Not sure where you thought 5 mg a day was commonplace.

Hmmm.

Ok, maybe I will start splitting them. I looked around a bit and it seems 1 - 1.25 mg is kinda standard.

5 mg is standard for treatment of BPH. Maybe you got confused since bot BPH and male pattern baldness are treated with finasteride, 1mg has always been common place for the later.
