I'm confused, why wont Finasteride/Dutasteride maintain Minoxidil regrowth?

I am struggling to make sense of this.

When used for beards, once the beard hairs become terminal, minoxidil can be discontinued and the terminal beard hair remains.

I understand beard hair is DHT resistant, actually DHT helps in beard hair growth.

What I dont understand is, if minoxidil turns any scalp hair from vellus to terminal whatsoever, and one is using a 5ar blocker such as finasteride/dutasteride, why wouldn't those hairs remain after stopping minoxidil?

Poor blood flow on the top of your head is one of the major factors of androgenetic alopecia, and finasteride/dutasteride alone cannot fix that.

After trial & error & my own research here is my latest thinking.
Duasteride/Finasteride/Minoxidil are valid scientific treatments, but as we all know in & of themselves usually don’t do anything significant. To take these drugs internally is in my opinion is a mistake. To take them topically better idea.
So first I would stop internal consumption & procure topicals. I have these.
Second, Minoxidil & I’ve tried 2%, 5%. 10%, 15%. I have minoxidil sulfate. None of these work by themselves.
I have tried minoxidil as a topical with Azelaic Acid, mixed with Duasteride/Finasteride. Also doesn’t work.
So as you imply What’s Up?
Scientifically it works, in reality it doesn’t.
So my current thinking is the scalp isn’t getting enough stimulus. Is it lack of blood flow, calcification, fibrosis, skull expansion, DHT, hormones? Probably, but what can we do? As I did more research on new treatments in pipeline I read about a scientist (and there a million of them) who is working on a topical incorporating tretinoin in formula. This is Retin-A.
I used it before but thought came to me to use it FIRST, before applying any topicals.
I tried everything else, why not.
I procured 5 tubes. Seems to be working.
It’s also good for skin/collagen so no worries.
Also lecithin seems to nourish overall hair.
There’s pills/shampoo..
Hope that helps:)
