It has been two weeks since i have been using spironolactone cream. I was not completely aware of its possible side effects, but i just thought it was the effects of any anti-androgens. Anyway i was not taking it oraly so i did not really care.
The last 7 days i have noticed a real problem with my breath. I constantly felt like I couldnt take enough air, and one time that i run really fast to catch up with the bus i almost panicked that i would suffocate. I blamed it to smoking, although i dont smoke that much and i smoke much less now than i used too.
And now i read on this site http://www.farrellmanual.com/topical/spironolactone.htm that spironolactone has a shortness of breath side effect. The only reason i am really concerned about it, is because i DID NOT know, spironolactone had this effect. If i did, and notice the same thing i would be 100% sure that it was all in my mind.
So i am really worried about 2 things: First of all it is an important side effect. I just cant be 100% that it is caused by spironolactone, but it seems too weird to be a coincidence. And, secondly, if i have this kind of side effect, i could as easily get other side effects of spironolactone, which are really important since it is a very powerful anti-androgen. I havent noticed any loss of libido or pain chest anyway.
What do guys you think?
