I'm torn between shampoos as I don't really know what I want, I'm used to luxury haircare products such as American Crew, TIGI and GHD and I've used TIGI Bedhead for men Clean Up shampoo for over a year until I changed it and soon after experienced a massively accelerated thinning process which has not subsided. I've so far concluded my hair is male pattern baldness since its in the family but I'm unsure what shampoo to get.

I currently use quite and expensive shampoo and conditioner called "S Factor Health Factor" which is sulphate free and contains horsetail and ginger amongst others, whatever that benefits. I used to find that the Bedhead shampoo seemed to feel more stimulating since it tingled my scalp and I can only imagine this can be good for hairloss if its improving my circulation?

I'm wondering are the ingredients of peppermint and ginseng are more beneficial due to the stimulation or is a shampoo containing wheat protein and biotin more beneficial? I'm asking this because I'm torn between two shampoos of a new brand I want to try called Label.M by Toni and Guy.

-Daily Moisturising Shampoo - contains ginseng, saw palmetto and peppermint.
-Treatment Shampoo - contains soy and wheat proteins, panthenol, biotin and wheat amino acids.

I'm not sure about these shampoos that are specifically marketed for hairloss, but they all seem like a complete ploy where some of the ingredients in them can be found in high quality shampoos and conditioners of less expense, anything with the word "hairloss" on the bottle seems to make it 3 times as expensive as even the most luxurious hair brands. Which is why I'm looking for a excellent quaity shampoo with the right ingredients which isnt marketed as a hairloss/regrowth product but contains such ingredients that promotes similar. A bit like the TIGI Beadhead for men, except I want a more luxurious feeling shampoo.

i personally use Ojon shampoo and conditioner, it's a higher end shampoo. it's not made for hairloss, just for thin hair and it's organic and sulfate/paraben free. it's Ok. on low end, i found FAT HAIR to do a decent job of thickening my hair, it left it feeling very dry though.

i'm still on the hunt for the best shampoo/conditioner and ways of making my hair thicker without drying it out or stripping oils.

It's a good point that, so far this Alterna Volume Shampoo (I believe you have commented on my other post regarding this) seems the better for thickening. But I used Bedhead Charge up and that was pretty good for a while until it dried my hair out a lot and it irritated my scalp tremendously. That was before I was aware of my hairloss however and I was still pretty much a NW1. They do seem to dry the hair out a bit, these thickening ones, I'm finding that a high quality deep conditioner helps once a week, I normally use it on the 2nd day where I use nizoral. I currently use S-Factor Serious Conditioner, but there are endless good deep conditioners out there when going high end. I'll probably be getting a good leave in conditioner too soon, if I'm going to start minoxidil.
