Independent Testing Generic finasteride

I know a lot of guys are hesitant to buy Generic finasteride because they are concerned that it might be Fake (or weak).
Is it very expensive to have a tablet independently tested by a lab?
If someone is already involved in this field, I wouldn't mind kicking-in a few $'s (paypal) to get such a test done. If its possible...anyone else in?

It's incredibly expensive. We're talking at least in the low $1k range. And even if you could afford it and tested a package of finasteride or dutasteride, would that re-assure you that all future batches of finasteride or dutasteride that you get from that pharmacy would be real? You'd have to test a pill from every batch that you get, making it far more expensive than buying the branded product.

And there's really no point in it because people on here have been buying finasteride and dutasteride from Inhouse and United for years, and by all accounts both pharmacies sell real generics cheaply.

I do have access to several lab instruments that could help identify the components of each medication including, Gas Chromotography, HPLC, and a Spectrophotometer. I also have generic finasteride, propecia, and dutas that I could test. The problem is that I currently need to research the proper methods to do these types of analyses along with the proper reagents and so forth to analyze them. If I am able to find a proper procedure to do this, then I will certainly try to analyze these meds. I need to talk with my labmates.
