I've started 5% minoxidil 3 months ago, once per day.
Let me tell you, as a heavy steroid user, this stuff made me lose more hair in 3 months, than steroids did in 3 years. This is insane. I know theres a shedding phase with minoxidil, but i didnt know i would lose roughly 50% of my current hair in 3 months. And i didnt know it would last that long. Theres is ZERO signs of regrowth.
When i wash my hair to apply minoxidil, i lose probably 50-80 hairs just from that. Per day, i lose maybe 300-400 hairs.
I could have run any amount of steroids in the world, and it wouldnt have damaged my hair like minoxidil did in such a short time.
My question is, is it possible to experience such enormous shedding with minoxidil for so long, or is minoxidil actually just making my hair worse and its not helping at all? Because thats what i think is happening
