When first researching Dutasteride i was very optimistic. I read good reviews on this sites and comments from all of yall. Although recently i have seen alot of negative feedback i am still considering getting it.
First I am very sketish of ordering online. I do not want to give my creidt card number online. Id probally create a new account with less money in it if i was to do so.
Secondly i have proscar right now...very cheap but i do not feel it is doing enough. If i was to get dutas could I alternate between the two or would that be damaging to my hair.
Is Dutas really worth the effort?

Your credit card has fraud protection on it, and most if not all online pharmacies encrypt the transaction data.

You could alternate them every other day, but 3-4 times a week of dutasteride 0.5 mg per day would make the finasteride kind of pointless. dutasteride is a much stronger drug so there'd really be no point to havintg the finasteride 3x a week. You'd be better off putting all the money towards dutasteride. You can get a year's supply from inhousepharmacy for 360.

What effort? Lol. You have to pop a pill in your mouth once a day. No rubbing stuff on your head, no spray, just pop the pill when you wake up. What's easier than that? It takes about 10 seconds out of my day. Dutasteride is the SINGLE BEST dht inhibitor out there and you should see a dramatic slowing of your hair loss and more likely a complete stop for at least a few years.

Well it cost more than proscar and i have to go threw online ordering. Is it really better than proscar i mean i heard it regrows 50%more and theres no sides. Do you use it every day i read that some only use it twice a week?

avodart is not more expensive than proscar. 0.1mg per day is as strong as 5mg per day of finasteride. If you take 2 per week, that is $24 per month with US bought Avodart at $95 for 30. Dutas is 1/3 that price. 2 per week on Monday and Friday is a little stronger than proscar 5mg/day, which is 25% stronger than propecia.

Actually, I wonder how the prices would compare, under idealized conditions where the tablets/capsules could be divided perfectly, and a miminum, cost-effective dose of each is taken. In other words, how would the price of very slightly less than 1/5 of an Avodart capsule compare with the price of 1/5 of a Proscar tablet?

if i had the money i'd take 2.5 mg of dutas a day. with prices right now that would be $1800 a year and i can't afford that. I can afford $360 a year to take one 0.5 mg capsule a day. But I heard from college that 2.5 mg regrows what is it 25% more? And I would really like to knock out type 2 100% because then I heard that when you lower the type 1 more after type 2 is completely knocked out, you can regrow and maintain better. hopefully the price will drop in a few years and i can afford to up my dosage to 2.5 mg per day.

Careful JayMan, you're talking about annihilating a very present hormone in your body completely. u should consider taking 0.5mg of dutasteride 2-3 times a week instead.

there's nothing wrong with annihilating all type 2 dht. and i'm only removing half of type I which was proven safe in a study that i read about on here.

0.5 mg per day is a bit more effective than 2-3 times a week.

I agree with MPBwarrior again on this one. I believe hairloss has to gradually be 'tricked' into stopping. Introducing a VERY powerful drug like dutasteride into your system is a BIG deal and there's no way of knowing how your body will react to such a hormonal change.

I believe starting at 3 pills a week or even every other day might be a more conservative approach.

I don't see why people are so obsessed with the amount of DHT suppressed. Dutasteride inhibits way more DHT than finasteride, yet the results are only slightly better. Going from .5 mg of dutasteride. a day to 2.5 would barely improve your results, just give you more chance of side effects.

People need to remember that even if you get carstrated you most likely won't grow any more hair, there's simply more to it than hormones.
