Is finasteride a diuretic?

I was unaware that finasteride was considered a diuretic. Now I am no health expert, but I assume this means finasteride has the potential to dry your body of liquids.
Can anyone in the know let me know any other potential harming effect from taking a diuretic everyday?

Finasteride increases the urinary flow rate in men with BPH, because it shrinks the prostate, which has grown uncomfortably large thanks to DHT. I'm not sure if it has any effect on younger men with normal prostates.

As Pondle mentioned, it's not a diuretic. As far as I know, finasteride has no direct effect on any of the various electrolyte transportation mechanisms found within the kidney.

This is strange. I don't consider myself to have a large prostate, I certainly don't hold any records for holding my piss. I'm usually the first to go after a few beers. Yet my hair is falling out at an alarming rate?!

Perhaps they don't understand exactly how the drug works... as a treatment for BPH its main purpose is to help people urinate more easily!
