I have noticed certain aspects of the shedding seem to follow the same symptoms of a dry scalp condition. The itching, yellowish-white dandruff and hair fallout that I am experiencing is a known propblem for people who aren't on Propecia. Is it possible that Propecia causes extremely dry scalp and in turn, indirectly causes fallout? Or maybe there is minor shedding caused by hair cycling that is exascerbated by the dryness.
I started using Tea Tree oil shampoo and conditioner and found that it really helped the itching and seemed to lessen the shedding. The itchiness starts to creep back up several hours after showering, but I think I'm on the right track. I am going to experiment with scalp moisturization for a couple of weeks and see what happens.
