Hello, i have been on finasteride for almost a year now but my hairline got worse especially on my right temple, should i give it some more time? here are some pics where my hair is oiled and wet, how bad do you think it is?
No i have not since there are not any qualified ones in my area so i have to rely on myself, i did not want to take any chances especially because my paternal grandfather was bald, thanks for your reply.@Dyodikow
In all fairness I would not have looked at your hair and considered it to be thinning. It looks like you lost your juvenile hairline only. Normal maturation. Obviously, if you were actively balding, finasteride may have stopped it in it's tracks.
Have you seen a derm?
@Dyodikow you're welcome. Your hair looks good, very normal. Regarding taking chances, I can understand that, prevention can give you solid peace of mind. Out of interest, does the finasteride give you any sides? No i have not since there are not any qualified ones in my area so i have to rely on myself, i did not want to take any chances especially because my paternal grandfather was bald, thanks for your reply.
I have watery semen which i guess is a common side but it has not bothered me, and good for you for finding a good surgeon i will look for one if my recession got worse.@Dyodikow you're welcome. PS. Derms are hit and miss anyway, they seem unlikely to commit to yes or no answers, like many in the medical field and most are not the hair loss experts they proclaim to be. Personally, I found a reputable hair loss transplant surgeon much better and far more knowledgeable.
My hair was oiled and wet so i think it is natural to part this way, i am not diffuse thinning at least not yet. You're a diffuse thinner, like me. Your hairline is heading into a NW2 the the top is the issue.
Did you notice an increase in density?
