Is finastride without minoxidil okay for regrowth?

My hairline and crown are receding. It's not very bad but I need to do something about it. Can finastride alone help me to regrow some of my hair as it's not very bad right now?

Quite rare to happen but possible, give finasteride 12 months, if not satisfied with results but maintaining add minoxidil. This result is from finasteride alone and is highly atypical but still within the realms of possibility if you are lucky enough.
