Is Finpecia the same as Propecia?

Hey guys,

My order of Propecia just came through the post today, but I've opened the packed and it says the tablets are 1mg Finpecia made by a company called Cipla, saying that each tablet contains Finasteride USP 1mg.

Is this stuff that will work for male pattern baldness? I know Finadsteride is the active ingredient in Propecia but does Finpecia work the same and have the same recorded results?

Answers to this question will be greatly appreciated because I'm a bit nervous to start taking something that I don't know if it will do the job!

Cheers guys
Mike

Finpecia is the generic version of propecia.

The important thing is that it contains finasteride (1mg) as its main ingredient - which is the same main ingredient as propecia.

You'll be fine.

Take 1 mg per day and call me in the morning :)

There shouldn't be any difference at all. Of course Merck finasteride is a lot safer cause the generic could always be fake if you buy it online.

lol a lot more than that where I live. My pharmacy charges 73 dollars a month for Propecia. Meanwhile I can just go to inhouse and get a 3 month supply for 50 bucks. Merck is greedy.

finasteride is finasteride is finasteride.

The only way Merck's would be more more effective is if the generic was fake. So it's important if you're going w/ generics to use a reputable supplier.

Cipla is a well respected Indian company- one of the Big 3 Indian ones along with Dr Reddy's and Ranbaxy. At least I think Ranbaxy is Indian. Too lazy to check.

That site you listed, aclepusa, is ripping people off on Finpecia. You can get it for like $100 less per year from UnitedPharmacies. Just to let you know. United is also a well respected online pharmacy, while I've never heard of the one you posted.

I ended up getting a refund for my order from Aclepsa due to the product not arriving, then the day after they refunded the money my order arrived so I got the prescription for nothing!!
