Is It Crazy For An 18 Year Old To Try Oral Spirinolacton?

I used finasteride for almost 7 months, and overall i guess i can say i have maintained. But my density is nowhere near my old density and I'm never satisfied with how my hair looks. So i started dutasteride. But I knew that wouldn't be enough. So I jumped to oral minoxidil 1 mg to see if my body will react to it. Nothing really happened and i upped the dose to 2.5 mg and I'm thinking of gradually upping the dose to 10 mg. It's been 1 month or so since starting oral minoxidil. Yet i still feel like it won't be enough because most of the regrowth i see with oral minoxidil and dutasteride, they were also using oral spironolactone. So I was thinking if i should start it now without wasting any time or wait 6-8 months to see if duta and minoxidil will be enough for a densitiy recover.

Short answer yes, take finasteride and even taking dutasteride is a stretch... I wouldn’t bet on getting yournokd hair back be happy finasteride can maintain what you have, my brother saw benefits in finasteride up until 5 years so 7 months is just the start

there are way better options i would say. You should proably stick to topicals while your are still young

pm me if you'd like join a finasteride resistant hairloss discord

I know what you guys mean but i literally had zero side effects with these drugs. So I don't think spironolactone would be an exception. Even if i do get sexual sides it's not a lot of problem for me. The only thing i am worried about is health problems. But there are a lot people who has been on it for a long time without any health issues. But I haven't seen anybody who take it in their 18s. Basically my question is would i react different because of my age?

Sexual problems are health problems! It's your body and health and you decision in the end.

Keep an eye on your serum potassium level if you are on spironolactone. However, it’s not a miracle drug.

have u added micro needling? Microneedling plus minoxidil is guving people fantastic results. Some people had no results with only minoxidil but impressive regrowth when adding needling.

It's not a crazy idea, I'm 18 and taking spironolactone.
