Is It Reasonable To Expect A Hit To Your Hairline When Starting Finasteride?

Held our as long as possible. Hairline and thinning catching up and may try a trial run in either oral or topical.

Will the shed eat your hairline before you know it’s working w/o sides, not working w/slides, or best case working manageable sides? How fast will it take effect? What’s a safe time to test?

Anyone have a different experience with topical Finasteride?

When I started taking it orally the only difference I experienced was a sudden increase in libido, but no increase to my shedding. Anyway started getting regrowth roughly 3 months later, and seems seemed to be both stable and improving after 6 months of use but by then I was on oral minoxidil as well, oh and then I got the watery semen, although my semen's back to normal consistency now.

You probably know this but most people say use it for somewhere between one to two years before making any calls on whether it's working or not.

Did your hairline take a hit? I am both diffuse and now my hairline has started to go fast all within two years. The idea of Finasteride makes me ill and I’m reading stories about a fast hit to temples and hairline.

I didn't see anything like that, but I wasn't really watching. I took oral minoxidil and finasteride for 1 and a half and had complete regrowth. Temples and every thing. There are shedding periods, but they didn't seem to be as bad as the shedding I was getting before the drug.

I have been on Propecia for a month now and my hairline looks the same. I have not noticed any shedding, though I shed tremendously already on topical Minoxidil.

Thanks. My first try with topical minoxidil was a nightmare, honestly would have probably been better not reading anything and trying Propecia first. Scared me off of Finasteride. I kept on oral minoxidil and shed a lot still but nothing like the first month. Need to try something else RU doing very little if anything after 6 months.
