Is it safe to be on finax and have a baby?

Hi,

I am 28yr old and have been taking Dr Reddy's Finax for last few years. My wife and I are planning to have a baby. So just wondering if it's not safe to have a baby while I am on Finax? Will it bring up any abnormalities to the baby if I continue to take Finax?

No, many people father multiple children while on propecia. I guess you could quit for couple of months if that gives you peace of mind.

If a woman who is pregnant with a male baby absorbs the active ingredient in Finax, it may cause abnormalities of a male baby’s sex organs. So women who are or may potentially be pregnant must not use Finax.

Keep in mind though you are probably less likely to conceive because of reduced sperm count from the drug.
