is minoxidil 5% any good for the temples

I've got thinning around the temple region (actually all over but worse on the temples) and i was on finasteride for a few months bust had to stop due to side effects.

what i wanted to know was will applying minoxidil 5% (rogaine etc) only on the temples actually help with regrowth as i've read that the FDA et all say it doesnt really work on the temples.

although it is only approved for the crown by the FDA, all treatments work to some extent on the temples and hairline as well... maybe even just as well.

You should definitely try the treatment to see if you want to use it.

I can say it has worked for me. I started to see vellus hairs come and vellus turn into terminal or whatever.

Xandrox 5% with RA only gives me short hairs in the temple area. Then again, I typically only use it once per day.

Yes Minoxidil can regrow hair on the temples. XandroX has been shown to be particularly good at acheiving that.
