I have thin and less hair density from my childhood.
I do have fairly good amount of body hair :( [I don't know whether it is a factor or not]

Just wanted to get some of your guys' opinions. Thanks :)

I would start gathering supplies if i were u. It's not noticeable yet to the average person but i have a hunch it would get worse years down the road.

Actually, i think u should definitely hop on soon. Better now than later.

Is that wet?

The reason why I'm asking is because some people have double cowlicks, which could be that if your hair is dry. Even if you have crown thinning, no one is going to think you're balding right now. If that's your hair dry, keep an eye on it. If not, then I'd get on finasteride asap if you don't want to go the shaved head route down the road. Just be wary finasteride's not something to f*** around with.

How does the hair feel around in that region compared to the back of your head and your sides? If it feels significantly and noticeably thinner compared to back and sides, that's a good chance it's thinning.

Don't rely on body hair, beard growth, hair color, hair thickness from childhood, etc to determine male pattern baldness.

The only good ways to determine male pattern baldness are checking the shape of the hairline (especially in relation to child pics and any pics you have from earlier years), the back of the crown for thinning, the top of the scalp for thinning, and getting your scalp mapped for density.

I can definitely feel the density around my crown is less compared to sides.

Hey can you look at these too ? (Wet hair images - https://imgur.com/a/IzJYMm0)
Definitely crown thinning. If you want to preserve your hair, get on finasteride. You may be able to regrow some crown hair with that alone. You're old enough. If the results aren't fast enough, you can also use minoxidil. I'd also recommend using Nizoral 1% or another ketoconazle based shampoo a few times a week.
