Is my hair abruptly getting thicker? Hair dramatically changing thickness mid growth !!

So what’s going on here. Here is a photo of and highlighted follicle. I want to say doesn’t matter what angle or lighting this always shows. So it’s not some lighting trick.

What can we say theres no before picture theres so little information about what youre doing...

All i wanna know is if its possible for a hair to suddenly go from one thickness to way more thickness all in the same growth stage
