Is premautre ejaculation a finasteride side effect?

Ive been on the finasteride for 2 weeks, no big side effects, had a minor nut ache the first few days. I did notice that I dont last as long as I used to, and my girlfriend is starting to get suspicious, she doesnt know I'm on the meds.

Anyone else have this problem?

Maybe. When you begin treatment, testosterone increases a bit. This increases your libido. I've read that testosterone increases dopamine. It might be because high testosterone- usually means high DHT level. DHT counters estrogen and its effects on the body. Estrogen is known to increase prolactin, which in turn suppresses dopamine. If this is the way it works, it can't be the explanation in your case, but if testosterone somehow directly upregulates dopamine, it might. Dopamine increases sexual arousal in general, which may reduce the time it takes to get an orgasm. Dopamine also reduces the refraction period. Have you noticed any changes?
