I am confused...

I was always told rogain is for regrowing hair in the vortex area and it helps some in the frontal area.

Recently I was told rogain does not grow hair but it retains what you have. Is this true or is this clinic full of it?

I mean why not use google?

Rogaine has different response rates for different people. Some get no benefit, some get a huge benefit.

It does nothing to stop balding, it gives your hair a boost. By growing out hairs that were previously damaged by your balding and not visible, and thickening up current hairs.

After about a year on minoxidil this boost will be maximized, from here your balding will continue, but it might take another few years for you to be back where you were when you started, depending on the speed of your balding and how well you responded to minoxidil.

Ok, thanks for your replies.
I have used rogain for about 9 months in the past but I didn't see any results but then I had always shaved my head. I would let my hair grow out for a couple weeks to see if there were any changes. Maybe I should let my hair grow and start using it again to see if my hair gets a little thicker.
