I'm on Avodart, 0.5 mg ed.
I've read that dutasteride @0.5 mg increases scalp testosterone by 99-104%.
dutasteride is also less variable than finasteride so for more people, it will deliver the same result. finasteride has a variability of 20% so it's not as reliable as dutasteride.
But 5 mg of finasteride only increases scalp testosterone by roughly 20%.
So what I'm wondering is, is the 104% increase in scalp testosterone 'negligible' when compared to the reliable reduction in DHT from 0.5 mg dutasteride ed?
