I want to know what Norwood scale I'm. I have pictures with my hair pulled back after a shower, hair when I don't pull it back and the sides. Sometimes certain sides look asymmetrical but I'm sure that's normal. Note I have a widows peak ever since childhood so it may look a little v shaped but I feel there is not recession. Anyway please let me know.

Nw1 but your Hairline looks like it's thinning a bit
I was experiencing telogen effluvium 3 months ago. So yeah I'm thinning but its temporary so not sure if that's what you meant. I still am experiencing telogen effluvium now. I feel like its a mature hairline since I don't see much recession in my temples. Its usually not a sign of balding so I'm wondering if that's why the temples look a bit big. Also I haven't been losing so much hair only about 50-60 hair strands everyday which is normal. So I feel like its mature hairline.

What difference does it make what Norwood you might be? I am not trying to be rude but guys on here use the Norwood scale mostly as a misery index so they can compare how woeful each other's hair loss is. "Oh yeah? Try being a Norwood 7, Mr. Norwood 5."

It makes little to no difference to treatment except that probably Norwoods 6 and 7 are untreatable. Plus, you have a mirror, right there, as I can see. You tell us what Norwood you are if you want but it won't change people's recommendations. I am more than willing to see if I think you have male pattern baldness and to throw some suggestions out as are the other guys.

These Norwood questions are somewhat similar to MtF's constantly posting, "Hey, everybody, do I pass?" If you say no then they try to have you banned so everyone says things like "you go, girl!". "Don't stop now, keep at it" or "To me, you pass". I just post always: "you have mirrors at home. If you think you pass, then who cares what anyone else thinks." Your question is much less passive aggressive admittedly. Fwiw, because I pay so little attention, you are barely below Norwood one but I would still go on finasteride for maintenance. I don't think anyone can declare that you have male pattern baldness though at this point.

Best,
Janey

I would just add a good shampoo like Regenepure DR or even hair oils like Divine Herbal. I agree above does not look like male pattern baldness, your hair in general looks super thick, minus slight thinning in the hairline but you still have thick hairs.
