Hi all. I was wondering if those of you that are experiencing typical balding are experiencing this same thing I am. I’m trying to determine if this is associated with male pattern baldness, or is something else that may be causing the hair loss that I can treat.
For those of you who are currently losing hair/have lost hair because of Androgenetic Alopecia, have you noticed if the scalp in regions where you are experiencing thinning are markedly redder than areas with no hair hair loss?
You can see that towards the front of the scalp, where the healthy hair is, it looks very white. After an abrupt transition to red scalp, however, the hair is falling out and has bad quality.
I actually sent this to my uncle who‘s a dermatologist, and he said that this looks like sebhorrea, which “can be demarcated”. He’s not an expert in male pattern baldness hair loss though (and I don’t want to bother him too much) so I thought I’d ask a large sample of people if they have this same thing going on.
Let me know what you all think. Thanks!
