Is This Diffuse Thinning Or Just Longer Hair?

Sorry for the loads of threads recently. Feel like my hair has gotten worse as of the past 2-3 months and my hairloss has accelerated a bit, it used to be very slow. Anyway, I've been growing my hair out over the past few months, and I can't help but notice the hair on the top of my head seems to be thinner than it used to be. In harsh lighting I can easily see my scalp through it. I also have noticed A LOT more shedding recently. For example, after shampooing I notice a clump of hair near the drain. What do you guys think?

You think it's just due to the length being longer then? It looks ever so slightly worse in person, maybe it's the lighting, but I can definitely see my scalp through the top of my hair whereas on the sides I can't.

Hair is less dense on top because the skull grows when we are younger.

It shouldn't be as dense on the flatter sides of our skull.

As far as the two year span, there is no difference.

If you have more than one hundred hairs falling out daily, than you just need to be
proactive about preventing it.

That's interesting I've never heard of that before. I have noticed a difference also in terms of how thick it feels, maybe I should take better pictures to show what I'm talking about. Or maybe it's all in my head. Any idea on why the shedding has increased? Stress?

It looks normal from those photos. How's your hair line?
Hairline has been slowly receding since I was 18/19, I'm 22 now. I would say a NW1.5-2.0

I’m 21 and after 2 years of minoxidil I have managed to get to a thinner NW2. Be thankful my man lol

Don't get me wrong, I sympathize with anyone going through this, and I realize some people have it a lot worse. Hope it all works out for you man.

Here are the pictures I promised, see how much more scalp you can see through the hairline?

Thanks, maybe it's just the angle of the picture but in real life some change is definitely noticeable. The temples are further back, and my temple peaks are less prominent, my hairline used to be very forward.
