is this possible? Shedding goes on but hair loss has stopped

Hello everybody,

I wanna hear about what you say about the following. I can say now that my hair has slightly improved within the last weeks. I have just taken pictures and you can see that my "hair" shows less balding spots. I should be glad about it, treatment seems to work for me. But interesting thing about it is, that I am still shedding hair like crazy. My hair is shorter now so I don´t notice all the hairs falling down, but my estimation is still around 60-80. is it possible that my hair is improving, but shedding is still the same?

yup. that is the case with every teenager. your hair always sheds. It is mostly a matter of whether the hairs are being replaced.

do that math. a 14 year old has 100,000 hairs. if they cycle every 4 years, how many hairs does he lose every day?



You can do that. I'm not going to solve it. I want Taugenichts to tell me the daily rate of hair shedding.

dutasteride and other things can stimulate the hair follicles to produce new hairs. in this case, hairs in the telogen phase will fall out.. shedding.
