So, I've finally confirmed I'm undergoing through a recession hairloss pattern and it's been quite strong.
For the last days I've been feeling non stop itch in my temples and I'm now what you can call Norwood 1.5-2. Not to mention I can easily pull 5 hairs from the scalp at any given time.

I've shut down from the world, honestly, skipped classes for a week, my parents are extremely mad at me. Said **** it to the driver's license, and that means they paid like 500 bucks for nothing, since I stoped going to the classes. I just can't bring myself to go into public places.

I hope finasteride kicks in, and I'll finaly take the plunge and get a buzzcut, I honestly can't deal with this anymore, If I'm like this now I can't see a future in 2 years time or something. I'm bipolar and that doesn't help. My mood swings are sky-rocketing since this **** started.

Can't even help but express myself here, since literally no one in my family wants to hear me.

I know right? It's painful. Everything you're doing, you can be talking to someone, you can be studying, you feel it... You just can't push further, it's devastating.

When people have mental illnesses it can be devastating, in these moments of uncertainty it's even more important to practice patience, when you feel you are defeated, get up. I had a bad day yesterday and I have a mental illness and I went shopping with my family and I was going through hell emotionally for no reason, it's a chemical imbalance, you have to view mental illness like the weather, sometimes it's sunny and sometimes it rains. This is life. Your normal. I wish you all the best.

To the guy who negged me because I'm still not a NW6 or something, what the hell man? You know what's hell, recedding and not being able to do anything about it, it's not even the end product, it's the journey to decadence.

Nw1.5 Norwood 3 nw6. Point is going bald at any age, especially when we are in our 20s or in some cases earlier than that reduces self esteem, self identity and self confidence, all contributing factors to depression and other harmful ****. Point is its not a competiton or some kind of leverage one can use to say their hairloss isnt as bad as someone elses or vice versa, its the fact that losing hair sucks period, and we should support one another and not create such a negative environment on these forums.

Oh you're NW1.5-2? That must be hell.

Yes going bald sucks at any stage, but come on, at least he doesn't suffer the consequences of actually being bald.

Its easy to generalize but its not so simple. This **** is like an onion with all its layers and levels. Nw2 is not the same as nw5. There are different degrees of severity to this ****. To anyone who says were all in the same boat let me ask you this, if its all the same to you, would you trade your nw2.5 for my advanced nw5? Probably not, huh? Different boats it is then....

I definitely understand Fred, Exodus and Uncomfortable.
It's just that it's a definitite shock, knowing that you are stuck in this problem and there's literally no way out. You start taking finasteride but you are always at the brink of uncertainty.

There are things you can do, thats the whole point. You have the advantage of prevention and even the back up plan of a hair transplant has much better odds for someone in your position than it would for any bald man hoping to get a full head of hair back.

What's your story with regards to not using preventative treatment? I'm curious. I suppose if you have aggressive genes it would not stop it perhaps.

My hair loss journey began before sites like this even existed. I simply did not know about propecia, and when I did and recieved a test packet of about twenty pills it was already too little too late you also needed a prescription for propecia back then. My hair loss rapdly advanced my 22nd year. By the time I was almost twenty four I became pretty much what I am now.

If I could have gone back and told myself that I should have pursued treatment more diligently, Im still not sure it would have made much of a difference given the aggressivness of my balding and the still limited treatment options.

No, it's not fcking good, it's thinning all over. Everytime I shower. Hell, even when my hair isn't wet and I can't even touch it without 5 or 6 falling, specially on top. If that isn't balding, then I don't know what balding is.

Got any pics that actually show this "thinning" you speak of? The pics you posted don't show any thinning at all. And before you start with the tired line "we don't have to be nw6 before we can post here", no one is saying you have to let your hair go that bad. Just please take and post some decent pics actually showing some degree of hair loss.
