Hi everyone,
8 months ago i was using minoxidil 5% liquid for 2 months on my crown and hairline and i think(maybe its just psychological) I saw little hair growing on the hair line.
I stopped using it after 2 months because my scalp was itching like hell and sometimes I even had a burning sensation.
About a month ago I noticed some real shedding and began using kirkland's 5% foam.Even with the foam my scalp is a bit itchy and red.
My question is what to do from here?Im shampooing with an organic non sls shampoo with tea tree but is doesnt seem to stop the itch.Should I be stop using minoxidil??Maybe the red and itchy scalp means it does more hram than good?
Im 23 btw.

Try 2x a week Tgel or nizoral shampoo. They help a lot with itch and flaking from minoxidil. Leave the shampooing for 5 mins before rinsing

Has a coal tar shampoo ever helped you with itching ?
I was saw some relatively cheap coal tar shampoos on ebay. The neutrogina tgel is too expensive due to overseas shipping amd not worth it if it's not gonna help with the itching.

Coal tar helped me in the past with itching the first time i started minoxidil years ago. More recently I've been using nizoral 2x a week, which helps a lot. Just this week I stopped using nizoral and switched back to t gel. I want to see if I shed less with it compared to nizoral

Thank you for your answers,I will start using nizoral shampoo.
In addition,I've heard that emu oil and castor oil are good for an itchy scalp. Can anyone confirm that?
In overoll the itchyness is somthing to worry about?I have read somewhere that itchy red scalp can cause hair loss
