Hi to all,

Till now, I had been like a ghost hear, assume like many others... that read and read posts but not writing or sharing.

I read not only here actually, in every place in the internet that can help to understand which treatment

is better to hair loss, with the advantages and this advantages...

My story is:

I had use propecia for almost 4 months till yesterday.

I had many side effects in the first 2 weeks, including groin pain, testicles pain and ache, and more that I don't remember now

In the first day of taking propecia, I will not forget it - I slept over 24 hours I think so.

Then... I just keep continue to see if me body is adjusting it, and yes, all side effects were over.

Currently, if I comparing my hair now to the beginning of the treatment, the results are not seen I think so,

but I stop losing hair, and my hair remained the same like the beginning of the treatment.

So, I actually don't know what would happen if I wouldn't take it (my dad is bald, and also men from my moms family, so I can imagine the result... -

actually I am 30, and I have good hair but thin...I thought that in 30 I wouldn't have hair at all)

after something like 2.5 months, I started to feel something that there is no much information about it here

and on the internet.

I found only 2-3 posts that related to this issue and one of them was found here...

So, I started to feel that every time when my body getting hot (it's winter now),

in unexpected social situation \ when getting excited from something \ when I struggling immediately...

actually, everytime that my body gets hot without expectation or immediately, but not extremely hot, just a little bit

So I feel itching all over my body - legs, back, front, etc... this is very uncomfortable feeling and situation.

I can't handle it for sure if this is side effect from propecia.

I were at the doctor, but he gave anti-histamine medication, which suppose to prevent allergic reaction.

I didn't buy it, cause I don't want to use another medication to cover some other issue that wasn't properly checked...

My questions are:

1. Does anybody know what I am talking about, heard about that or felt that ?

2. Why it's happened after more than 2 months (and not immediately) ? I'm almost sure it something neuronal and not allergic...

something that related to more deep process inside the body...

2. What do you suggest me to do ? to quite ? if yes... by which way ?

cold turkey? cutting the dozen?

3. Will starting using Rogaine foam, worth it ?

Thanks for your help...

Hey dude,

It seems the same thing.

So - after stopping with finstrade, all over ?

Do you use another treatment for hairloss ? if yes, which one ?

Thank you

I have it ... I stopped finasteride and dutasteride, because nothing worked at the end. And all my body itches from time to time (back, legs, scalp, eyes, pelvis, ...). I tried antihistaminic, pain killers, ... useless. I hope you don't have the exact same issue.
Good luck.

Your name suggests it indeed. Sorry to hear man.

Do you believe that Rogaine can help ?

That's sh*t... I felt so good with propecia, and thought that everything was fine...:(

You had a good response from oral minoxidil didn’t you?

OP, are you hairy? Maybe you have a little folliculitis in your leg hairs and chest hairs and what not.. I had some of that, you could try doxycycline or even it’s low dose to mitigate the antibiotic effect and to just help with inflammation.

Regardless, get blood work. I had issues with my ears getting hot and red, food allergies causing scalp itch, all that good stuff and it happened when I was on finasteride. I switched to dutasteride and still persisted.. I have irratible bowl though and the time when my stomach calmed down was when my scalp started to also relax in terms of mega itch and burning feelings.

If you have gut issues, look into sulfasalazine because it has studies on healing gut inflammation and inderctly helps with scalp. Other than that brother, look into seti like itchy mad scalp said. And take the 2grams per day. It didn’t do sh*t for me when I was using 6-800 a day.

Yeah the first 6-8 months, but because of DHT it lost its effectiveness.
I already tried docycicline, useless, ... I almost tried everything with no success.

Did you ever see where you dht and test ranges were in blood work? That’s crazy man. I wanna go on oral minoxidil because I’m losing slowly now rather than rapidly. My sex drive is coming back hard again which is exactly what happened to me when I got a 3 year long shed with BAD scalp inflammation. For whatever reason, my scalp feels ok in the summer and my hair grows better. I do have SD though and sunlight is great for that

Did you shed badly starting oral min? Also, have you tried 2.5mg of dutasteride?

what kind of climate are you in? Maybe you just have dry skin as a result of less oil production from the low DHT. Try a body moisturizer.

I assume you are in a colder climate considering you said its winter. Drink a ton of water and do not take hot showers.

you also may have Cholinergic Urticaria, which is very common, I have it. its basically when your body reacts to compounds in your sweat. Its not serious and its not caused by anything specific. You can take an otc antihistamine like Zyrtec or allegra to help it. if you don't want to take a med, there are natural antihistamines like stinging nettle and quercetin.
