I've vowed to not go back twice, now guess what?

3rd time going back.

Man, I'm really at a loss with this decision. I feel I am in no win situation and have to choose between better chances of saving my hair or a potential side effects which include problems in the lower regions.

I've been on dutasteride twice already, never making the 5 month mark both times.

I stopped twice because of side effects and I just got a bad aura about the drug and its long time use.

Now after 3 months stopping and reverting back to propecia my hair is worse. My horse shoe pattern shows more and my hair as gotten thinner. I have carried on using spironolactone and minoxidil through out this.

I just can't deal with this choice I have to make. I feel this is a no win situation.

I felt my hair get slightly thicker whilst using avodart, but nothing great. Only it has gone to pot since stopping and going back to propecia.

What an awful choice we're forced to make. Significant hair loss is my early 20's has killed me psychologically and mentally to be honest.

I'd drop the internal meds and go topical.

Try Revivogen?

I'd go with Revivogen, Minoxidil, spironolactone, Folligen, and MSM.

stay on propecia unless you get sides from it. try lower doses. if sides still, then drop. maybe fluridil will help. it is much stronger than spironolactone, and safer, if it is what the study said it is. some question that.

I am in my early 20's also and use Dutasteride. What size dosage are you taking and how often?

The sexual side effects should settle out after a few months of continuous use of Dutasteride. Try taking 500mg - 1000mg of L-Arginine daily to help sexually.

But yeah, it sucks to be young and lose hair. All we care about at this age is f*****g girls and looking good so we can f*** more girls and this hair loss thing just fucks with us.

I have heard more than once from hair stylsts, physicians...etc that they all observed a trend that people are starting to lose hair at a younger age in the past 10-15 years. It was much less often to find someone in early 20 to 30 who had hair loss problem. I guess it has something to do with the more and more chemical stuffs in foods, water, air pollutants, shampoo...etc.

Have you considered topical dutasteride to alleviate the sides?

Either mixing same w/ your minoxidil or going the Double A method (mixing w/ aloe gel).

I think I'm headed that way in a few months. Nothing else seems to be helping.

If I were you I would stick with the propecia for a full year. I would not go with revivogen at all. I agree with hairtomorrow that maybe you could try the Double A method.

Isn't hair loss just evolution? Where we are at the stage where our bodies have concluded that we don't need hair on our heads anymore? So basically every younger generation will be slightly more evolved, with less and less hair?

Evolution's cool and all, but I look around at all my friends with this hair loss thing and we all seem to have some form of male pattern baldness...and you all know how self-conscious us youngens are.

I think it's because everyone is going through puberty earlier which means their hair is becoming sensitive to hormones at a much earlier age.

I'm leaning more towards our diet. Younger people are also bigger than the subsequent generations.
