Jayman, has Avodart reduced your body hair?

I think body hair DHT is made by 5ar1, which is not as inhibited, and certainly only by Avodart 1+x per day. So maybe only topical spironolactone would do it. I'd just like to hear from people taking avodart.

yes i've said before that it has. i look at pics of my chest and stomach from two years ago and i definitely have less hair on them now than i did then. i'd say it's reduced it by 50A%. it's reduced the hair on my arms as well. i have a lot more vellus hairs now and not as many dark terminal hairs.

on a body hair scale of 1-10 with 1 having no hair, 5 being average for a guy my age and 10 being a hairy beast, i used to be a 5 and now i'm about a 3.

where did you hear that body hair dht is made by 5ar1?

I'm probably wrong about that. The sebum gland has 5ar1. The follicle probably is 5ar2. Sucks for people doing BHT.

What I don't understand is why my body hair has not reduced at all on finasteride.

Ive been taking dutasteride for about 8 months now and i have lost lots of hair from my chest, belly and arms.

Does this mean that the dutasteride is working and i will shortly start to regrow hair on my head?
