Hi,

The name's Jc, long time stalker, first time poster. :)

Anyway, I first noticed hair in the shower at 20 years old. Now I'm 25 and I still have great hair coverage. (thank god).

But, I know it's thinning.. it feels like crap.

I usually don't brush my hair and grow it pretty long (very curly). Well, I looked at a side view of me the other day, and my hair was all poofy EXCEPT, for the vertex area. Where I'm seeing very minor hair loss. That part of my hair was just flat. UGH. I'm a little better than a norwood 2, and since my hair hangs on my forehead, it's really impossible to tell that I'm losing any.

But I know I am :(

So, I finally used my minoxidil 5 percent today. The liquid Kirkland kind. I'll apply 1ML to the vertex and 1ml temples AND will go from there.

I have Nioxin and Nizoral so I'll continue to use those. Any advice?

Also.. is there a pill coming out newer than Propecia? I took it in the past but it made my semen watery and it had to go (sorry to be gross, just honest).

One good thing about me though. Is that I have a little scar on my forehead. Right in the middle. So I won't freak out if I'm shedding, because I'll know where I started in reference to the scar... soooo

:agree: Let's get this party started :)

Ok..

I put pictures on my photobucket so you all could see my crown, temples, and how i style my hair. I've always had a big forehead, I know this because I saw a 4th grade picture of me.. and yes, it was big then too :))

So.. What's my prognosis? Will Rogaine and Nizoral help me maintain? I know I'm asking a general question so I expect a similar answer :)

I'm in good shape and always have a positive attitude. 2 keys to this I'm sure.

You can see with how I style my hair, that it's not super noticeable.. plus I'm tall, so no one sees up there anyway :))

Ok.. I think some of my questions got missed in my barrage of text. All I need are one word answers :)

Rogaine, on dry hair or wet?

Mild headache from Rogaine.. ok? I'm pretty sensitive to stuff.. not in the sense that it affects me badly, I just notice changes easily.

What kind of maintenance can I expect from Nizoral and Rogaine? Without taking pills, with how my head looks, what should I add? I don't like taking drugs

THanks!

So where's the big forehead? Every other new poster here claims to have big forehead but they're always like half of mine. Hair looks good.

There is a newer pill than Propecia, Avodart. But if you get bad sides from Propecia, you'll probably get equally bad or worse sides from Avodart. You're supposed to put the Rogaine on a dry scalp. minoxidil and Nizoral could give some regrowth, but won't stop the balding process, so you only buy yourself a little time until the hair loss is bigger than the regrowth. You could try some kind of topical DHT blocker, like Proxiphen or Revivogen or Flutagel. Search the forums.
