I first started noticing I was losing my hair when I was 25, I started on finasteride and minoxidil right away but had a lot of scalp issue with Monix so I stopped at 6 months. At 27 my hair had thinned and diffused a lot so I decided to try Dutasteride, the results where great and I got a lot of my hair back over the next year and a half. I am now 32 and over the last 8 months my hair as really started to thin and diffuse again. So my question is what to do after Dutasteride? I have had a hair transplant on my hair line which I was very happy with but I have noticed that it is starting to go down hill again.

I am not bald and still have lots of hair but I see it heading down hill again so I am trying to be proactive, my hair is very thick per strand. My thinning pattern is odd it is in the shape of an S that starts at the back of my head and goes to the front. At first I thought it was just a part but it is getting bigger and bigger and the front is really thinning.

Any opinions or help would great

Jr

Looks like your hair is parted in a different way than normal, but that's about it. maybe you're just paranoid?

Your hair looks great, I'm 32 and I wish I had your hair. As for the S in the middle, it doesn't look like male pattern baldness to me - I've never seen that pattern before.

I think it's superman in disguise. The 'S' is just on the head instead of his shirt.

btw, amazing head of hair man. I wouldn't worry about it.

I swear so many people on here suffer from BDD...OP there is nothing wrong with your hair.

what is BDD ???

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_dysmorphic_disorder

Body dysmorphic disorder. It is when say you have a slight imperfection, but perceive it to be a million times worse then it actually is. In truth outsiders probably wouldn't even notice it because the imperfection is so small. This can f*** up your life because when you go an socialise all you ever think about is your imperfection.

In the case of hairloss, recession of the hairline comes into mind. Seriously anyone who is concerned about their hairline receeding, should AT LEAST monitor it over say 6 months - a year, if it doesn't change in that time then leave it cos it could just be age/genetics related (I know people that have stabalised at NW2 for example) - only reason I am not on the big 3 yet is because I dont want to aggrevate given that it hasnt changed. All I have done is changed my shampoo and shredding has decreased dramatically from 8 hairs on the pillow to 0.

Also, I seriously don't think its normal to be a NW1 for your whole life, seen so many guys receed with age, google Ewan mcgregor (V shaped), Micheal Owen (M shaped) if you want examples of guys who have an asymetrical hairline but are not bald yet ....obviously some will go bald but thats why observing the hairline should be done first and then go onto meds; that way you'll have a good idea how aggressive your hairloss is.

In the case of the original poster he has minimal recession, its not even V shaped. But then again, his hair is pushed forward.
