hey I'm an 18y/o university student and ive been shedding for 4 monthes. I started rogaine foam 5% as soon as I really noticed it and I went to my dermatologist as well. My derm has been spraying my head with nitrous oxide once a month as a "scalp stimulator". He gavce me hair loss shampoo and conditioner as well.

I dont know if I am losing from the crown or just the temples because I am really hesitant to get a hair cut. I do know however that my hairline is receding and it is really starting to bother me because I cannot style my hair like i could 6 monthes ago. I also do not think the rogaine has been working for me at all.

I ordered revivogen yesterday to go along with my minoxidil becuase i really dont want to go the finasteride route yet. Well revivogen stop the shedding that minoxidil has failed to do?
please help, i really dont mind being bald once I hit the real world and I am set with a job and a woman but before that I would like to look like a "normal" college student.

Re: 18 year old been shedding for 4 monthes, losing

did your derm tell you if you have male pattern baldness or just Telogen Effluvium?

my derm wont admit that the situation isnt improving, he instead continues to take my 50 dollra copay once a month and says "were going to turn this problem around'. he is a hair loss specialist too.

i'm not sure what Telogen Effluvium is but i'm assuming i have male pattern baldness because my moms dad was very bald when he died (she wasnt sure when he started balding because he was bald when she was born)

you need to use propecia or proscar, rogaine or rogaine and revivogen wont keep the hair you have

if you want to do the best for your hair then use the big three

nizoral shampoo 2% 2 or 3 times a week
finasteride (propecia/proscar 1mg a day)
rogaine foam

and definitely do not hand over another $ to the so called hairloss specialist

good luck

:)

i just reread your post and you said you don't wanna go the finasteride route yet

take it from many posters here than the sooner you get on it the better

many people regret not jumping on it sooner so take this chance to not be one of them :)

yeah..Big 3.

Remember that most of the People here are using the big3 in tackling their hairloss...the least it will do is to maintain your hair..

If Revivogen works for you then it should keep the hair you have.

It's not certain, hair loss is one unpredictable biatch.

yeah, some people react differently to them. but I guess just give it a try because you gonna lose those hair anyway in the near future. Its just a matter of time.

If works wonder for you, WALA! YOU're one lucky guy :woot:
