Hey everyone, looking for some quick advice.
I started taking finasteride in early May and stopped after 3 weeks. Not sure if it was nocebo or just my body adjusting but I felt like I had slight sexual sides (not as hard erections, slightly less libido) and what I believe was the beginning of Gyno (itchy and swollen chest). I also was out of shape and believe I had slight Gyno since puberty but I definitely noticed a more swollen itchy chest on the pill. Taking finasteride is not a decision I took lightly and after that experience I wanted to regroup and give it a another shot if need be once I got in better shape and was in a better place mentally.
Anyway since then I have lost about 15 pounds and am pretty close to my target weight. At this point it seems the major risk in taking it again is developing Gyno and this has had me going back and forth on whether to jump back on. I know at the end of the day I can always get Gyno surgery if it indeed does develop into something but then there is the risk of it growing back.
Long story short l, I don’t want to sit by and lose my hair at my age. Is it reasonable for me to consider getting back on given the early Gyno? Or is that a sign that this just isn’t for me and I should find another solution to fight my hair loss.
Sorry for the essay, just wanted to give full picture of my situation.
Thanks all
