Moral: Don't get a big head (well of hair maybe, but you know) when/if you get the regrowth you wanted. Maintenance is the real battle. Consistency is key.

Those are some pretty damn drastic changes in hair in a short amount of time. Did you quit finasteride and everything else as well, after that July 20 pic?

Good luck regrowing...

I didn't quit finasteride. finasteride for life. I got really relaxed with Min. Yes I am back on an even stronger augmented regimen as of Early/Mid August, tomorrow I am starting Minoxidil twice daily.

Former Regimen:

1. Finasteride
2. Minoxidil 5% x 1 a Day
3. Nizoral x 2 a Week
4. Biotin

New Regimen:

1. Finasteride
2. Minoxidil 5% x 2 a Day
3. Ultrax Labs Hair Surge Shampoo & Conditioner (Caffeine, Saw Palmetto, Ketaconazole 2%) x 1 A Day
4. Hair, Nails, Teeth Vitamin (Biotin 3000mg, Vitamin D, Collagen, etc.) x 1 Day
5. Coming Soon: Lasercomb 7 x 3 a Week

Just from my personal observations, I am seeing the same.. pattern as I did the first go around, a dark patch near my swirl, etc.

Hair Loss Forums Quote me on this, I will have my hair back to prime recovery levels by Jan 2015. Keep fighting the good fight gentlemen. We will prevail.

Wow, that's pretty drastic for less than 2 months. Kinda depressing, as finasteride is all I use (2months). I would have thought the finasteride would do a better job keeping what you had. Best of luck to you friend, I hope you get it all back.

finasteride does maintain your existing hair usually, but minoxidil-hair is different. His gains were minoxidil-based for the most part (I think), so when he quit minoxidil - he lost those gains. But keeping up with both finasteride and minoxidil will be a good combo.

But yeah, it's a bit depressing to see.

I really don't understand why people who experience great results get lazy with treatments. What did you expect would happen? If you want to maintain your hair you have to maintain your regimen. Seems pretty rudimentary.

Easily done when people don't understand the science behind the drugs. A lot of people assume you can regrow with minoxidil, then let finasteride do the rest.

You do not know the science behind the drugs either. Scientists do not know the science behind minoxidil.

It's kind of ridiculous how fast your hair undergoes changes, haha.

Good to see you're back on the road to recovery though! Consistency is key, comrade.

Could you take an updated photo with flash to match your last photo? I'm just wondering if the hair isn't just longer and not actually thicker.

Hey Eric,

Appreciate your response. I updated the October segment of the documentation. I can honestly say the Sept. 11 photo my hair was longer. I know it doesn't look that but that was 3 months grown out. I got my hair cut Sept. 13. I can say definitively combing from back (crown) to front is my weakest coverage.

Thank you Eric I appreciate the encouragement :). What about you? I hope your on the fast track as well! Oh also, I noticed on your regiment you have the minoxidil Foam, how do you like that? Is it good for going out in public? Thanks!

Things could be better for me. I'm going through another round of shedding so my density is down again, but I hope to recover from this just like I did with the last shed!

I haven't updated my regimen in a while. After about a month of using the foam I actually switched to the liquid (2mL once per day at night) because I found the liquid easier to apply!
