I did. I felt like the foam wasn't giving me results so I went back to the liquid. I am still shedding a little bit like i was on the foam but not as bad. I hope it stabilizes soon as it did last May when i had been strictly on the liquid for 8 months.

when you say your hair stabalized what do you mean. cuz im sure you notice that you lose hairs everyday during you stabalized period or do you mean you just dont lose alot of hairs.

i rough up my hair to count how many hairs fall out throughout the day and i count 40-55 hairs a day in total. would you call this stabalized and its normal to lose 100 a day?

I switched bac recently. I felt I was getting better results with the liquid. I think switching may juke out your follicles a bit, causing a shed. Could be my imagination though. I'm gonna try to stick with the liquid.

I was excited to start the foam and when i did, i was initially happy. I could actually apply rogaine foam in the morning and then style my hair unlike with the liquid. After a couple months, it almost felt like my hair loss was getting worse. I have diffuse hair loss and trying to apply foam to the majority of the scalp doesn't work to well. I felt that the liquid provided better coverage. I recently switched back. I made a few other changes to my regimen and am experiencing some sheds. So, i can't say that switching back to the liquid was the only cause of the shed.

I was happy with the results from the liquid despite the awful application which is why i am switching back.

I want to switch back to the liquid..

Foam didn't work and I'm in my 9th month..

Liquid did wonders for me.. started to work in my second month and had great results..

The foam only did things worse...

Since the liquid is stronger, when you switch from liquid to foam, you will lose hair, cause swirtching from 5% to 2%...

if you never applied rogaine, and start form zero with foam, it might work maybe.. and maybe not..

the question is who the hell still sells liquid nowadays, since it was discontinued.

Liquid minoxidil has not been discontinued. Where did you ever get that idea?

when foam was first launched, it was said that liquid would be discontinued and changed for the foam.

it looks like for "some reason" the liquid is still being sold.

Looks like I was not so wrong after all in all my other posts...

I believe foam works really well for me because I keep my hair shaved down low so that it doesn't have to fight through a lot of hair.

I wouldn't recommend foam for people with thicker or longish hair.

However, foam has brought my density back with a vengeance, something I couldn't do on liquid because I never used it enough, and with my shaved hair, foam gets to the skin.

I let it grow out about a month (to just under an inch), then I ratchet it back to 2mm.

I'd rather do that then deal with four hours of greasy head! You guys have fun with that!

I have been using a liquid for the past 5 years. I switched to the foam and didnt like it because of hair styling reasons and switched back to the liquid this past week. In the past 2 days I have had a lot of shedding (50 or so hairs in the shower). Worse then when I started using minoxidil in the first place or propecia. When I bought the new supply of the liquid I switched from the kirkland brand of minoxidil to target brand but the ingrediants are exactly the same in both brands so the brand switch should not cause a shed right? Also my scalp has been very iritated which is not normal. I also use Nizoral shampoo almost daily but have recently gone to using it only 4 days a week. Maybe that has something to do with it. Glad to hear other people are experiencing the same thing after switching back to liquid.

Has anyone had any luck with any other treatment to regrow hair on a receding hairline. Propecia and minoxidil may have regrown a little but have basically maintained. I am thinking about adding topical spironolactone to the regimen to make sure it doesnt recede anymore. Any thoughts or suggestions?
