Doesn't look like anything is wrong.
Seeing a dermatologist in a week. Will update. Any thoughts what can this be? I’m 22. The “old photo” is the first one obviouslyand from january 2021. Is regrowth possible?
You have different hair lengths and lighting from before and after so it’s difficult to tell. Based on the areas above your ear towards the temple point you might have some retrograde alopecia but that also might be due to the quality of the fade. If you grow the side hair out and it still looks sparse in that area relative to the rest then you’ll know.
I have retrograde like this so I keep the sides tapered very close so it just looks like a fade cut to the average person. I never liked growing my hair out long on the sides anyways so it doesn’t bother me too much.
Good news is retrograde alopecia doesn’t result in slick bald areas. Bad news is it can limit your ability to have a hair transplant in the future if it affects the donor area in the occipital region.
