I started finasteride at 18 for 3 months. Dropped it when I got a gf. Fast forward 3 years at 21 I started finasteride the beginning of my senior year at college and lasted for 4.5 months.

Basically during that time my new gf at the time noticed severe psychological changes. I had major mood swings throughout the day and in very happy situations (at a party watching 2 girls kiss, after scoring a goal in soccer, after orgasm from sex) I would seem very indifferent/depressed.

Even though she said hair was important to her she suggested I get off finasteride.

I feel so much better. I am only 3 days off and I feel so much better. No more unexplained tears. No more stuttering during tests.

To me the sexual sides I could deal with, it's the brain fog sides that I couldn't handle.

They are so real, and I think everyone taking finasteride is in denial about them. To them the sides are tolerable so they just deny that they even exist.

Sides don't exist for everyone. They exist for very few people. I got sexual sides, you got brain fog sides. We are in the big minority. The unlucky few.

I've been on finasteride about 3 years. While I have experienced some minor sexual sides, and I do believe some people might experience severe sides, the brain fog is something I've never really bought into. I certainly am not in denial about brain fog, I've gotten straight A's at law school while being on finasteride, pretty good evidence my mental abilities haven't suffered.

Wes, in the future please try to refrain from making such absolute statements like those. Sides do not exist for everyone.
