So I sat in the barbers chair and when he flashed the mirror at back of my head I thought oh that’s not too bad at all , good cover you job.

Then I took these three pics from above my head in the outdoor light ...

Outside lighting definately shows hair at it's worse, but even in those outdoor pics I doubt many people would think that you have hair loss seeing as your hair around that spot is thick. That's how my crown looks but I push my hair back rather than forward so the hair covers the swirl.

i still think there's nothing wrong with your hair or crown,

and if you're already taking finasteride there's nothing you should worry about

Thanks however I’m def losing it at the crown ...
I’d love to assume finasteride will work but you’ve got to remember I’ve been on it 4 years 0.5mg a day and then realised last month I had started to thin at the crown ... so now I’ve upped it to 1mg a day hoping it keeps hair with a higher dose but the fact that studies say 0.5mg is pretty much the same as 1mg , I may be screwed and have to face facts finasteride has stopped working for me .

Worried I may be losing further whilst waiting to see if bumping up the dose of finasteride to 1mg daily instead of the 0.5 I’ve dosed on for past 4 years ...

Im on treatment, and I have some visible thinning that some people notice. But i met a guy that was 23 that was basically a Nw6, that put things into perspective for me. When I left the party I gave him a hug, and he patted me on the back of my head. I don't know what he was signalling, but obviously he noticed my balding to a much greater degree than anyone else at the party.

We are our own worst enemies, I doubt anyone on the outside will notice your crown, except for yourself, and other hair obsessed people.

You sure it wasn’t paranoia that guy patting you on the back of the head and he wasn’t just being affectionate ? Just looked at your pics on your postings and it seems very unlikely someone , even a bald person , would assume you’re thinking at your crown …

23 and Norwood 6 is tough .
