Just Have A Shedding Question

Hi all,

I just have a quick question for you guys. I have been on finasteride for about 5 weeks and mino 5 % foam for only about 10 days.

I have not seen any shedding yet, is this normal early in treatment or should I have shed by now ?? Do all responders shed ?


I'm new to this stuff so I was just wondering.

I've been using minoxidil for about 4 months and haven't had a shed, however I've seen some regrowth. In fact I was shedding a lot more before I started minoxidil.

Now that I think about it I think I stopped completely shedding after I started using Nizoral, and by completely I mean I could run my hand through my hair for 20 minutes and not a single hair would fall out, so I don't think it was minoxidil that stopped the shedding. I recently started finasteride though and it looks like my good fortune might be coming to an end because I see some hair falling out here and there.

Or it might be the dreaded 4 month minoxidil shed, since my 4th month no minoxidil is coming up in a few days. Either way I'll let you know how it goes.
