Just starting...

Hello all,

I am just noticing my hair starting to thin in certain areas, and has been receding in others.. My crown is starting to show signs of future "Friar Tuck-age" and my temples are starting to recede a bit. I am not going to go crazy about it, but after reading up on these boards I decided I wanted something easy but effective.

I am not taking a pill that has side effects, so I was wondering..

Would taking spironolactone in the morning affect my hair appearance? Like is it really greesy, discolored or obvious? Also my hair is dirty blonde, would the application of folligen stain my hair or make going outside impossible?

And finally.. What shampoo would you recommend? I want something that will be able to clean out my pores cuz I have naturally oily hair and I think that might be a cause of my hair loss..

Really I want something I can apply in the morning, something I can apply at night, and a shampoo that will wash the gunk out and thicken my hair.

I hope you can help! I need my hair!

spironolactone said to be best at night because it has an odor associated with it that isn't pleasant.

Thing is..

Well.. Thing is I'm not losing hair.. I brush my hair and see no hairs fall out, I wake up in the morning and see no hair on my pillow... So why am I thinning? I don't want to buy alot of products that could possibly mess my situation up. Maybe I'm just not growing hair fast enough, even though I don't lose much hair. Or maybe my hair is just thinning but not dropping out? I'm sort of confused because I don't see any hair loss..

Is there stuff that is not so troublesome but thickens hair?

Try this:

spironolactone 2% - 1ml/d am
minoxidil 5% - 1ml/d am
Nizoral 2% - 3x per week

And you "might" save your hair, good luck
